Windowless Foyer: The Darker the Better? -- Good Questions

Q: I have been debating this for a while. I have a windowless foyer with only one light that is very blah. The doors opening to the foyer are low quality so I want them to disappear. I have painted the doors and walls White Dove but I would really love to go quite dark. It seems like it's a bit dim now, why not just embrace it? More
